10^th Annual J.V. Wrestling Tournament

Invitation To: High School

Entry Fee: $10/wrestler or $50 for five (5) or more wrestlers. Make checks payable to: Philipsburg-Osceola Area School District. Send money with application or pay at weigh-ins.

Madison Weight System: Send actual weight for each wrestler on the attached form. Wrestlers will be bracketed into weight classes and will be wrestling opponents fairly close to their actual weight. Weigh-ins are mandatory to establish attendance, make slight adjustments in official pairings, and for teams to register their official weights.

Weigh-In & Wrestling Times: Weigh-ins from 8:00-9:00 AM; Wrestling begins at 10:30 AM and runs through completion of tournament.

Tournament Format: Double elimination format with approx. 15 weight classes; Large weight classes may be divided. Wrestlers from the same school in the same weight classes will be separated. Schools can enter more than one wrestler per weight class. Weights with only three entrants will wrestle round robin.

Other Features: Three medals given per division; three mats to be used; limited number of breaks during the tournament; concession stand and trainer available; four PIAA officials used.
